Re: the Meredith Kercher trial in Italy?

How come Rudy Guede has already been sentenced to thirty years in prison for the murder. Surely if he has already been tried and convicted, all the facts must be known about the case. I don't understand why Amanda Knox is still on trial. If any finding from the trial conflict with rudy's trial findings then surely that raises suspicions about the validity of his conviction. Confused?
