Ok now why hasnt he asked me to be his girlfriend alreadyy'?!? ?

So there's this boy that I have liked for a while. Well at this party about a week ago he told my best friend he wanted to chill with me so he was about to leave an he gave me a kiss. An it made him really happy. Well when he got home he text my other best friend an was like I kissed her an stuff. An she asked him why don't yall just date already an he said "idk..I want to" well the next day me an another friend went to watch him an some other guys play basketball. Well he plays with my ex. He had told all the guys that we were about to date an I didn't honestly know he wanted to so he went to the bath room an everybody asked me an I was like in shock an saying we are? An he asked me why did I lie an say we weren't. But I didn't say that an well he told all his friends he was gonna get with me but almost a week has went by an I haven't heard from him. He broke his phone at the lake but there is always face book. Do you think I should just give up an move on'? Helpp please.
