What do you think of the flat tax concept?

I think it is a good idea - of course that is because I pay a lot of taxes. When 48% of the population doesn't pay any federal taxes it would be impossible to stand up a flat tax system. There is no reason to me why people shouldn't pay an equal percentage of their income for taxes but that is not the way most people think. People who pay the taxes believe they worked hard and long and that is why they are high achievers. People who don't pay the taxes believe that well-to-do people have been lucky or have done something illegal to make their money.
